About This Project

Daiquiri Envy

What’s it all about?

The legendary Daiquiri was one of the six basic cocktails in David Embury’s classic The Fine Art of Mixing Drinks alongside the Jack Rose, Manhattan, Martini, Old Fashioned and Side Car. It’s a sweet and sour cocktail with a kick of rum, named after the Cuban mining town of Daiquiri, where American Jennings Stockton Cox negotiated rum into workers pay packets in 1828 and adapted the local drink Canchánchara into this simple, but oh so delicious drink.

What’s in it?

25ml ENVY Rhum

20ml Simple syrup

30ml Lime juice

How to make it:

Pour ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice cubes and shake well. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass, and serve with or without ice.
