Rob Roy

What’s it all about?   

The Rob Roy began life in the Waldorf Astoria in Manhattan – named after the opera of the same name which told the story of Scottish folk hero Rob Roy Macgregor. You can have it the standard way which is sweet, or replace the sweet vermouth with dry vermouth for the dry version, or mix equal parts sweet and dry vermouth for the ‘perfect’ cocktail.

What’s in it?

35ml ENVY Whisky

125ml  Sweet Vermouth

Dash Angostura Bitters

How to make it:

Add all ingredients to a mixing glass and stir with ice, strain into a chilled glass, serve straight up or mix with ice. Serve with a maraschino cherry and a lemon twist.
